During Milan Design Week 2010, the surface manufacturer Cosentino exhibited an installation at Superstudio Piu that was designed for them by Fernando and Humberto Campana.

Description from Consentino:

The Campanas for eCosentino project focuses on the artistic interpretation of ECO by Cosentino on the stand at Milans Fuori Salone. The concept has been created through the creative use of the recycled surface, comprising of 75% recycled materials, including porcelain, glass, mirrors and an innovative eco-resin which contains 22% vegetable oil.

On the 100 square metre stand at Superstudio Piu (Temporary Museum for New Design, Via Tortona 27) Cosentino proves once again to be an innovative and technologically advanced brand, offering solutions that stand out for design, versatility and modernity. The stand designed by Estdio Campana creates a textural space through the accumulation of materials. Layers of the recycled surface, ECO by Cosentino are built up to create the look of rock sediments, which is reminiscent of Cosentinos natural stone origin.

Campanas for eCosentino project gives life to a modern and attractive material, an example of how design knows no limits and everything can be transformed to become part of an original creative process.

We are very proud of the collaboration with Estdio Campana”- says Santiago Alfonso, Marketing Director of Cosentino Group. “Creativity, inspiration and international outreach of Humberto and Fernando Campana are the elements that link their work to Cosentinos values. These two artists are famous worldwide for their design skills based on the use of recycled materials, a characteristic that makes them perfectly complementary to the development of the project they’ve made with Eco by Cosentino, a surface derived from recycled materials
