What Are They Doing in These Real Estate Photos?
I’m always baffled when real estate agents photograph people inside the rooms that they’re trying to sell. This is a prime example. Who is that guy, and why is he in the room? It’s distracting.
Cute baby. Does he come with the house? At least we can see the room that they’re selling in this photo, though. So how to explain this one, of nothing but the homeowner’s dog?

Remember the Realtor who took a photo of herself in a bedroom mirror? She strikes again:
This time she gets extra points off for leaving the toilet seat open and showing us inside the bowl…

Frankly, Elvis should have left the building.

What’s Wrong With This (Real Estate) Picture?

Areader named Stephanie sent me this listing from Georgia. She says she stared at it for awhile, trying to figure out why it didn’t look quite right, and then realized the problem: No front door! Where is it? According to the listing, it has an attached garage, so maybe they just go in and out that way?
Have you seen a house without a front door before?

A Real Estate Listing With Unexpected “Extras”
This yellow Cape Cod-style “condex” is for sale in New Hampshire. It looks like a nice enough little place, and it’s only $199,900. But imagine my surprise when I was looking through the photos and saw a few “extras” that the Realtor threw in! Check it out–a nice fireplace in the family room:
And…a happy couple taking a walk:
A songbird:
A large master bedroom with sitting area:
A kitchen with hardwood floors:
A couple playing tennis:
Uncle Sam’s hat with money falling into it (or flying out of it?):
And my favorite–a dog and cat that love each other:
I’m guessing that the Realtor was trying to illustrate some of the amenities the community offers–tennis courts, walking paths, and…money hats. I wonder if the cute dog and cat come with the place, too?
Thanks to Shannon for sending me the listing on a day when I needed a laugh!
